Color Me Christmas - Designer Colours in Holiday Decorating

Have you ever walked into someone perfectly manicured, designer furnished home during the holidays only to be greeted by colorful lights against the red glass ball ornaments, garland and silver sequined skimpy? Not to say that the traditional color scheme is bad, but not get stuck in a rut of Christmas! Over-the-top trees and wreaths may or may not for you, but should reflect your holiday decorating traditions, customs and heritage and in particular to their taste. No matter what, try a holiday color scheme that compliments the environment rather than competing with them.

If you have neutral walls and furnishings, holiday decor options are pretty open. You can go traditional red and green, but consider throwing in lime green. It gives you a retro feel without feeling old. Metallics are hot each season and add "bling" against a neutral, not flashy. Try mixing with other metal elements such as earthfeathers, rocks and branches. She is not only fashionable, you're recycling too! Jewel tones are a current favorite, though careful to avoid looking at the "circus". Choose between three and four colors mix with more natural artificial spray, trying to keep authentic holiday. Purple, red, green and fuchsia are a rich combination of celebration but of class.

Obviously the opposite might be true if you live in a house full of bright colors and prints, red, yellow, blue or fatbackgrounds. Try a monochromatic theme or a more neutral, earthy colors.
If you have a red kitchen, half your holiday decorating done, right? Maybe, but this does not mean that the traditional holiday color scheme year after year. Try a pair of contrasting colors, but free and strategically placing the balance in the kitchen red.

Surprisingly, a new nautical look is a popular theme. Use cream or white shells and pieces of coralif you "cones," Pearl Garland, ornaments and decorations spray as round and accents (metallic as well as your bling) and starfish as "snowflakes". Get a starfish large, decorated with ribbons and beads, add a small cone-down and use as a beautiful tree topper. Mix the treasures of the sea with some of the country, a woven basket filled with white paper or silk in a clay pot with white silk amaryllis, a traditional Christmas flower. Believe it or not, there is a greatChristmas story hidden in each sand dollar, a part of history tells the star that lead the shepherds to the baby Jesus is emblazoned on the front and the Christmas star is at the rear. Have you ever thought that the nautical theme to tie in Christmas as well?

No matter what your budget or taste, color plays an important role in creating a holiday atmosphere that your friends and family will remember for years to come. Do not stress about, but a fun andmost exciting part of decorating for the holidays each year.
